This policy covers , the companion site for The AI Hacker's Handbook. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to send you the free chapter and the occasional update.
What we collect
- Your email address, only when you submit it to request the free chapter.
- A hashed token tied to your download link (not personal).
- A hashed form of your IP address (one-way, salted) for abuse and rate-limiting. We do not store your raw IP.
- Cookieless, aggregate analytics (page views, referrers). No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the sample chapter you asked for.
- To send occasional book-related updates, only after you consent by ticking the box.
- To protect the form from spam and abuse.
The legal bases are your consent and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. We rely on consent, purpose limitation, and data minimisation, consistent with the GDPR and India's DPDP Act.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you remain subscribed. Hashed abuse-prevention data is rotated on a short cycle. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. Email is delivered through a transactional email provider acting as our processor solely to send the messages you requested.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any update email using the link in its footer.
- Access or delete your data by emailing privacy@xowia.com. We will action deletion requests promptly.
